Belal Ballout is a veteran CG Character Tech specialist with over fifteen years of experience across animation and games. Currently serving as a Rigging Supervisor at DreamWorks Animation, he brings deep expertise in character rigging, FEM simulation, digital humans, and technical art pipeline development. His background includes leading teams, architecting production ready rigging systems, and building scalable workflows that support both artistic flexibility and engineering precision. Belal has contributed to stylized and hyper-realistic character work alike, consistently focusing on stability, efficiency, and cross-department collaboration. As part of his supervisory role at DreamWorks, he also works closely with partner studios around the world, overseeing asset quality, guiding technical standards, and helping deliver content that meets DreamWorks’ production requirements. Throughout his career, Belal has delivered CG asset technology for television, feature animation, and AAA games. His credits include Spider-Man PS4 during his time at Insomniac Games, where he contributed to character development for one of the most acclaimed action titles of its generation. In animation, he has served as Lead Character TD and Rigging Supervisor across several shows.
